Our Peer Review Process
IJSMIEN follows a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality, originality, and scientific validity of published articles. Both the reviewer and author identities are concealed throughout the review process.
Review Workflow
- Initial Screening โ Editor checks scope, format, plagiarism (within 1โ2 days)
- Reviewer Assignment โ 2โ3 expert reviewers matched by expertise keywords
- Review Period โ Reviewers have 5 days to complete their assessment
- Editor Decision โ Accept / Minor Revision / Major Revision / Reject
- Author Revision โ Authors given 7 days to address reviewer comments
- Final Decision โ Editor-in-Chief makes final acceptance decision
- Publication โ Published within 2 days of acceptance

Reviewer Rights & Responsibilities
- Reviewers must declare any conflicts of interest
- Reviews must be completed within the stipulated timeframe
- Reviewer confidentiality must be maintained at all times
- Reviewers must not use unpublished data from manuscripts for personal advantage
- Constructive, objective, and respectful feedback is expected
