IJSMIEN takes publication malpractice seriously. This statement covers our policies against all forms of academic misconduct. Our policies are based on COPE's Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors.

Prohibited Practices

Plagiarism	Presenting another person's work as one's own. Immediate rejection and possible ban.
Data Fabrication	Making up research data or results. Article retracted if discovered post-publication.
Data Falsification	Manipulating data to mislead. Retraction and institutional notification.
Duplicate Submission	Submitting to multiple journals simultaneously without disclosure.
Ghost Authorship	Excluding significant contributors from authorship list.
Guest Authorship	Adding authors who did not contribute to the work.
Undisclosed Conflicts	Failure to declare financial or personal interests that could bias the work.

Reporting Misconduct

Suspected malpractice can be reported to editor@ijsmien.com. All allegations will be treated with strict confidentiality and investigated thoroughly.
